What it does
Spanwise adds a coverage calculator block to your product pages. Shoppers type a room size, total area, wall size or depth, in feet or metres, and see how many boxes, rolls, gallons, bags, bundles or boards they need, waste included. One click adds that quantity to the cart. You set what one unit covers per product or per collection. Six calculator types: floor area, walls (paint and wallpaper with coats, doors and windows), roofing with pitch, decking boards, volume and weight, and length.

A 12 by 10 ft room needs 7 boxes. Spanwise does the maths on the product page, waste included, so shoppers stop guessing and stop leaving to find a calculator.
Six calculators, one block
Floor area, walls with coats, doors and windows, roofing with pitch, deck boards, volume and weight (gravel, mulch, concrete), and length. Feet or metres.
Add the exact quantity to cart
One click adds the calculated number of boxes, rolls, gallons or bags of the selected variant, so the order matches the job.
Set it once per collection
Say what one unit covers per product or for a whole collection, watch the live preview, and see uses, add-to-carts and units added in Analytics.
How it works
Pick a preset
Flooring, tile, paint, wallpaper, roofing, decking, gravel and more, then choose the products or collection it applies to.
Say what a unit covers
For example, one box covers 19.5 sq ft with 10% waste. The live preview shows the calculator as shoppers will see it.
Add the block
Open the theme editor from the app; the Coverage calculator block drops onto the product template. Save.
Shoppers add the right amount
They enter the room size, see the number of units and add exactly that many to the cart.

What products is Spanwise for?
Anything sold by coverage: flooring, tile, wallpaper and paint, roofing bundles, decking boards, gravel, mulch, soil and concrete bags, fencing, trim and cable by length.
Does it work with my theme?
Yes, with any Online Store 2.0 theme. It's a theme app block you add from the theme editor, with no code.
Does it include waste?
Yes. You set a waste allowance per rule (for example 10% for tile), and the result rounds up to whole units.
Can shoppers use metres?
Yes. Every calculator works in feet or metres, from room size or total area.
Does it collect shopper data?
No. The storefront counter is anonymous (store, product, used or added, quantity). No IP, cookie, device id or customer data is stored.
How much does it cost?
