1. What Gaugely accesses
When you install Gaugely, Shopify grants it the read_products and write_products permissions. Gaugely reads your active products to work out their sizes and, only if you choose to on a paid plan, saves those sizes to gaugely.* product metafields. It does not request access to orders, customers, checkouts or any protected customer data.
2. What we store
- Your store's myshopify.com address and the access token Shopify issues to the app.
- A size index of your active products: title, handle, image URL, price, availability and the sizes read from them (thread, length, diameters, height, material), plus the mapping settings you save.
- Daily counts of the sizes searched on your storefront, for example “thread=M6x1 length=20mm, 4 searches, 0 results”. No name, email, customer ID, IP address, cookie or device identifier is stored; the logged_in_customer_id Shopify adds to app proxy requests is ignored.
- Your plan. Billing is handled by Shopify; we never see your payment details.
Data is stored with Cloudflare (Workers and D1) and is encrypted in transit and at rest. It is never sold or shared.
3. How long we keep it
- Search counts are deleted after 400 days.
- When you uninstall, the access token is deleted at once; 48 hours later Shopify sends shop/redact and we delete your index, search counts and settings.
- customers/redact and customers/data_request are answered: Gaugely holds no customer data to delete or report.
4. Data Processing Addendum
For personal data your store processes through Gaugely, you (the merchant) are the controller and Dixon App Studio is the processor. OurShopify Apps Data Processing Addendumsets out the purposes, sub-processors (Cloudflare and Shopify), retention, security measures, breach notice and Standard Contractual Clauses, and forms part of ourTerms of Service. You accept it by installing or using Gaugely.
