    Quotewell Privacy Policy

    Last updated: November 4, 2026

This policy covers Quotewell: B2B Quotes, the Shopify app published by Dixon App Studio (DixonAppStudio LLC, "we", "us"). Quotewell lets buyers request quotes from a store, and lets the store price them and send a Shopify invoice. Because a quote request carries the buyer’s contact details, this policy explains exactly what is kept, why, and when it is deleted.

    1. What Quotewell accesses

Quotewell asks Shopify for read_products (to price the items a buyer requests) and write_draft_orders (to turn a quote into a draft order and have Shopify email its invoice). It does not read the store's customer list, orders, payments or addresses.

    2. What we store, and why

    • Quote requests a buyer sends: their name and email (required), and the company, phone and message they choose to add, with the products and quantities. Used only so the store can prepare and send that quote.
    • The quote the store builds: prices, discount, valid-until date, notes, and the ID of the Shopify draft order created from it.
    • The store's myshopify.com address, its access token and its settings.
    • The quote cart stays in the buyer's own browser until they send it. Quotewell sets no cookies and does not track buyers or record IP addresses.

Only the store the request was sent to can see it. Invoice emails are sent by Shopify. Data is stored with Cloudflare (Workers and D1), encrypted in transit and at rest, and is never sold, shared or used for marketing.

    3. How long we keep it

    • A quote is deleted 180 days after it is accepted or expires, and an unanswered request after 180 days.
    • When a buyer asks Shopify to erase their data (customers/redact), every quote with their email is deleted.
    • When a store uninstalls, its token is deleted at once and everything else 48 hours later (shop/redact).
    • A store can delete any quote at any time.

    4. Your rights

Buyers can ask the store, or us, to see, correct or delete their data. Data requests sent through Shopify (customers/data_request) are answered with the quotes held for that email.

    5. Data Processing Addendum

For personal data your store processes through Quotewell, you (the merchant) are the controller and Dixon App Studio is the processor. OurShopify Apps Data Processing Addendumsets out the purposes, sub-processors (Cloudflare and Shopify), retention, security measures, breach notice and Standard Contractual Clauses, and forms part of ourTerms of Service. You accept it by installing or using Quotewell.
